done did it

They had to come out of hiding to get finished, but I got the mansocks done before bedtime on the Dr.'s b-day.  He only asked me what I was working on once.  ("Hmph.  Nothing.  Socks.")  Flashing/pooling was totally minimal and on the whole obscured by the twisted stitch pattern...except on the heel flaps.  I'm thinking about changing the name to White Lightening.

Big socks on a small dog

...the horror...
Both the man and the dog consented to model them for me, though the dog was clearly chagrined.

So close and yet...

I'm afraid the wedding stole, subject of my last post, will be joining me on the plane.  I guess I'll have to pack my blocking pins and Soak.  Good thing I'm checking baggage.  Almost made it, too.  I was tempted to bind off last night, but realized I'd rather get in a few more repeats and be really happy with the length than finish for finishing's sake.

If only I hadn't cheated...

Hey, the dog was cold!  My hands were tied!  And I was thinking about you the whole time, baby.
