I did something stupid. Worse, I knew it was stupid while I was doing it. And yet...

How the hell am I going to get this thing wound? At the best of times, winding an entire 300g skein of Wollmeise Lace-Garn is a daunting prospect. After one has foolishly opened up the skein "just for a minute" to wind off a couple yards for a swatch, then FAILED TO PUT IT BACK THE WAY IT WAS, then DROPPED HALF OF IT while trying to move it... I don't know. If you hear some unladylike language issuing from the general direction of northern Munich later tonight, yeah, don't be alarmed.
